Leah Rose and Ava Marie Clements marked a significant milestone on their 7th birthday back in 2017. It was then that they launched an Instagram page, which quickly went viral due to their captivating beauty.
The twins from California have long been dubbed the “most beautiful twins in the world,” and at the age of 14, they continue to charm the world as prominent child models. Their journey is as enchanting as their striking appearances.
Initially, in 2017, Jaqi Clements, the mother of Leah and Ava, decided to share their lives online by posting their photos. What started as a way to connect with family and friends rapidly caught the broader internet’s attention due to the twins’ extraordinary beauty, and their Instagram account gained momentum.
The twins’ allure and innate beauty won the hearts of many, leading to an influx of modeling agencies and brands eager to collaborate with them. The simple Instagram profile blossomed into a significant platform that would alter their lives drastically.
“Instagram wasn’t something I was familiar with before starting a page for my daughters,” Jaqi, mother of three, mentioned in her blog. “If someone had told me 6 months ago that 300,000 followers was a huge number, I wouldn’t have known.”
Today, the twins boast nearly 3 million followers across Instagram and Facebook, showcasing partnerships with major brands like Disney, Nike, and Target, solidifying their status as top-tier child models.
Facing Criticism
With fame, however, came critiques directed at the Clements parents for encouraging their twins to model at such a young age.
Jaqi staunchly defended their choice, clarifying that it was Leah and Ava’s dream to model, not a decision forced upon them. She stressed that neither she nor her husband Kevin was benefitting financially from their daughters’ careers. Instead, they were making personal financial sacrifices to ensure the twins could pursue their passion.
“The choice to model wasn’t mine; it was theirs. If ever there’s a time they wish to stop modeling, I am fully supportive of whatever they decide,” Jaqi expressed.
A Critical Moment
In October 2019, the success and popularity of the twins’ Instagram account provided unexpected support during a family crisis.
Their father, Kevin, beloved head swim coach at a local high school, thought he was coming down with a simple cold. Later, at the age of 39, Kevin was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma.
Determined to aid their father, the twins turned to their massive social media following, hoping one of their dedicated followers might be a match for a life-saving bone marrow transplant for Kevin.
“If he receives a transplant, his recovery from cancer will be faster,” Ava mentioned to People magazine in 2019. Leah added, “People have been incredibly kind and willing to help our dad. The more individuals that get tested, the better the chances.”
There was an overwhelming response from followers willing to help, and although a match was found in Kevin’s brother, Chris, many followers joined a national registry potentially aiding other patients in need.
Beyond Beauty
Leah and Ava Clements have blossomed into striking 14-year-olds, continuing their modeling journey and engaging with an ever-growing following. Their transition from local models to global sensations underscores their hard work, charm, and their family’s unwavering support.
Successfully juggling their blossoming modeling careers alongside family, education, and advocacy, the twins have demonstrated they are much more than just visually appealing – they are inspirational icons to many. As they continue on their path, the world eagerly anticipates what lies ahead for these extraordinary young women.
