The billionaire businessman first appeared on ‘Shark Tank’ in season 2 as a guest and joined the ABC series full-time in the third season.

After 15 years on the hit TV show “Shark Tank,” billionaire businessman Mark Cuban has announced that the upcoming Season 16 will be his last. “This is our 15th year, and next year, our 16th year, is gonna be my last year,” Cuban shared on the All the Smoke podcast. “So I got one more year to go.”

Cuban, who first appeared on the show as a guest in Season 2 before joining full-time in the third season, believes that it’s time for him to move on. However, his departure has not yet been confirmed by the network.

While reflecting on his time on the show, Cuban expressed gratitude for the impact it has had, stating, “I love it because it sends the message the American dream is alive and well.” He emphasized that “Shark Tank” has trained multiple generations of entrepreneurs and inspired kids from all walks of life to chase their dreams.

As a Shark, Cuban has learned valuable lessons about business and investment. He shared some of his takeaways, saying, “The harder they have to try to sell, the worse the deal.” He also highlighted the importance of focusing on the business itself rather than getting caught up in personal backstories. Cuban looks for ideas that make him think, “Damn, why didn’t I think of that?”

This is not the first time Cuban has discussed the possibility of leaving the show. Last year, he expressed uncertainty about his future involvement, citing the importance of prioritizing his family, including his daughters Alyssa and Alexis and son Jake. Cuban values spending time with his loved ones above all other obligations.
