A devoted wife experienced a shocking turn of events when her husband decided to leave her for a fling with a younger, brunette woman. Despite the heartache, she taught him a lesson he wouldn’t soon forget.
“Divorce? John, you must be kidding! And did you just say, ‘a fair share’?” Nicky exclaimed, shifting in her seat as her husband told her he was tired of their dull life together and wanted to break free.
John couldn’t help but smirk. “Oh, Nicky! You had to see this coming. Come on, we’ve both known that there’s nothing left between us. I don’t want to spend my remaining years in misery with you. I long to live like a free man. And yes, I will find somebody—someone beautiful and charming who isn’t a drag like you! So, yes, I’ve decided to divorce you.”
“And you think I’ll let you get away so easily? Dream on, John!” she replied sharply. “You want freedom, don’t you? Well, guess what? I’m not signing those divorce papers, and you won’t get a penny, let alone a share!”
“You can’t do this, Nicky! If you don’t sign willingly, I’ll force you!”
Nicky chuckled. “Oh, poor Johnny! What will you do? Bring your lover here? Those young women you’re seeing? They won’t take care of you like I did. I have been the one who took care of you for 47 years, John! I raised our children while you napped on the couch, hit the bars, and hung out with friends. And you think you’ll get away with this? Never!”
However, karma has a way of catching up. John continued, “Well then,” he said while glancing at his watch, “I’m off to Mexico in an hour for a six-month trip. And I’ve used almost all our savings from our joint account to book everything.”
“Let’s see if you’ll change your mind and sign the divorce papers or if you’ll struggle and beg me for money. What can a housewife do without money, after all? Enjoy yourself, darling,” he taunted. “I can’t wait for my time in Mexico!”
“What? Those were my savings too, John! How dare you use them without even discussing it with me?”
“I knew you’d make a scene about the divorce, Nicky. That’s why I planned everything this way!”
With that, John packed his bags and left, leaving the divorce papers behind for Nicky. “If you don’t want to live with the consequences of your choice, sign them quickly. Otherwise, your life will be a living hell henceforth!
